The ICC has officially confirmed the successful departure of all Proteas players from India following the conclusion of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, marking the completion of a complex travel operation amidst global challenges.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced that the remaining traveling members of the South Africa national cricket team and the West Indies team have now left India after the culmination of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026.

Amid ongoing disruptions to international air travel, the ICC's operations and logistics teams engaged with various stakeholders to ensure the safe and coordinated return of players and staff to their respective countries.

Following the completion of their T20 World Cup campaign, the Proteas played their last match against New Zealand on 4th March. Despite facing travel challenges, both Cricket South Africa and Cricket West Indies were commended by the ICC for their cooperation and support throughout the departure process.

The ICC expressed gratitude towards all involved parties, emphasizing the tireless efforts put forth to facilitate the safe journey home for players, team personnel, and their families in the aftermath of the tournament.
