During the recent T20 World Cup, Temba Bavuma provided insights from the commentary box, hinting at a potential shift from international T20 cricket.
With the South African season nearing its end and a break in international fixtures, Bavuma will take part in the EUT20 Belgium tournament held in Brussels from 6 to 14 June.
Notably, Bavuma joins former Proteas player, Rassie van der Dussen, for this venture in a bid to boost cricket professionalism in mainland Europe.
EUT20 is backed by Destino Legends Sports LLC and Cricket Belgium, aiming to elevate the sport by attracting global and Associate nation talents.
The league comprises six franchise teams representing Belgian cities, with ex-Proteas batsman Herschelle Gibbs appointed as coach for Liège Red Lions.
