South Africa's Proteas captain, Temba Bavuma, known for his recent T20 World Cup commentary, is set to participate in the upcoming EUT20 Belgium league in June.
Bavuma's move comes during the off-season for South Africa, allowing him to explore new opportunities in the cricketing world.
The EUT20 Belgium is aimed at enhancing cricket in mainland Europe and will feature former Proteas players like Bavuma and Rassie van der Dussen, adding to the league's star-studded lineup.
The league's ambition to attract international talent, as well as players from Associate nations, reflects a growing interest in expanding cricket's reach beyond traditional strongholds.
With Eoin Morgan serving as the league's global brand ambassador, the EUT20 Belgium promises to be an exciting initiative in diversifying cricket competition.
