Orlando Pirates are set to undergo a shakeup in their squad at the end of the season, as they prepare to bid farewell to experienced defenders Tapelo Xoki and Bandile Shandu. Xoki has been sidelined due to injury and is unlikely to have his contract renewed, while Shandu's lack of playing time hints at a possible exit.
With ambitions set on the CAF Champions League, Pirates have secured their spot for next season after a recent turn of events in the league. Despite a disappointing early exit this season, the team under head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has displayed a solid performance, clinching two domestic trophies already. The quest for the lucrative R100 million prize in the CAF Champions League adds a financial incentive to their success.
