Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Junior Khanye believes that the club's recent struggles are not solely due to coaching but also stem from the need for higher quality players to strengthen the squad.
Khanye expressed disappointment in the limited number of quality players signed by Amakhosi during the recent transfer window, emphasizing the importance of bolstering the squad to challenge top teams like Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.
He specifically mentioned midfielder Sibongiseni Mthethwa, suggesting that some players need to elevate their performances to benefit the team.
Khanye commended midfielders Siphesihle Ndlovu and Lebohang Maboe for their improved contributions, highlighting the positive impact their performances have had on Kaizer Chiefs.
Despite being fourth in the Betway Premiership standings with three wins from seven matches, Khanye's observations shed light on the areas of improvement necessary for Kaizer Chiefs to excel in the league.
