Durban City is closing in on securing the services of Eric Tinkler, as reported by journalist Sinethemba Makonco of iDiski Times.
Tinkler decided to leave Asante Kotoko after a brief three-month stint in which he led the club to victory in the 2026 Democracy Cup but suffered a recent league defeat.
The move to Durban City comes after the club parted ways with previous coach Khalil Ben Youssef, marking another chapter in their coaching changes since their promotion to the top flight.
Having previously coached in the PSL with clubs like Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City, Tinkler brings a wealth of experience to Durban City as they aim for stability and success both domestically and in continental competitions.
The timing of Tinkler's appointment allows for him to assess the squad during the international break before the Betway Premiership season resumes.
