Southern Guards GC, formerly known as Stinger GC, has unveiled a fresh identity just months before the debut LIV Golf event in South Africa. The rebranding signifies a nod to South African culture and unity, showcasing the team's essence ahead of the upcoming tournament.

Southern Guards GC, previously Stinger GC, has chosen to revamp its name and visual representation as it prepares for the imminent LIV Golf event in South Africa. Drawing on the African philosophy of Ubuntu, which emphasizes the importance of collective strength, the team aims to embody unity and national pride.

The redefined identity of Southern Guards GC is symbolized by the rhinoceros, a poignant emblem deeply rooted in South African culture, representing vigor, determination, and endurance. By integrating indigenous textures and patterns into their design, the team seeks to honor their heritage while engaging in international competition on the LIV Golf stage.

With the highly anticipated LIV Golf South Africa event scheduled to occur at Steyn City in Johannesburg, Southern Guards GC's transformation has garnered significant enthusiasm. The team's General Manager, Richard Glover, expressed that the rebranding decision was a blend of emotional significance and strategic alignment, aligning the team's values with its representation on a global scale.

Despite the rebrand, the team's composition remains unchanged, maintaining its line-up of prominent South African golfers, including Louis Oosthuizen, Branden Grace, Dean Burmester, and Charl Schwartzel. These accomplished players will now compete under the newly unveiled banner, leading the charge into what promises to be an impactful season for South African golf.
