Tiger Woods reached a plea deal in a Martin County court resulting in a five-year driver's license suspension. The golf legend avoided jail time by changing his plea to no contest for reckless driving, closing a DUI case from March 2026.

Tiger Woods had his driver's license suspended for five years as part of a plea deal with Martin County prosecutors in Florida.

The 50-year-old golfer changed his plea to no contest for a reduced charge of reckless driving, avoiding imprisonment in a driving under the influence (DUI) case that dated back to March 2026.

Woods was also found guilty of refusal to submit to a lawful test and careless driving, and was ordered to pay fines totaling ,500.

Following the ruling, Woods was warned by Judge Darren Steele that he would be immediately jailed if found driving, emphasizing the importance of public safety.

The suspension includes two separate five-year periods linked to the reckless driving charge and careless driving citation, to run concurrently.

Woods has a 30-day window to appeal the ruling and contest the decision regarding his driver's license suspension.
