The Hollywoodbets Durban July final field has been revealed, setting the stage for an electrifying race on July 4th, 2026. STAR MAJOR, the current frontrunner, has been allocated barrier four, positioning the colt favorably near the inside rail for a strong start.
Amidst the anticipation, REGULATION secured a spot in the field as the last entry, narrowly edging out other contenders. The handicap nature of the 2200-meter race adds intrigue for punters, with Regulation emerging as a top pick due to factors like past performance, favorable weight allocation, and stellar training under Justin Snaith.
The upcoming Hollywoodbets Durban July holds promise of history-making moments, with STAR MAJOR aiming to continue its legacy under trainer James Crawford and jockey Mickaëlle Michel, who could potentially become the first woman to win the illustrious race. Meanwhile, trainer Mike de Kock and son Mathew are eyeing their maiden victory together with ALADDIN’S LAMP, despite a challenging draw position.
Beyond the racetrack action, the event will offer a spectacular entertainment lineup at the Hollywood Durban July’s Pulse Big Stage, featuring renowned artists like Zakes Bantwini and Mi Casa. Tickets for the event are available, promising a day of thrilling horse racing and captivating performances.
